Practice Description
Annette Messitt represents individuals and businesses in a variety of complex civil litigation. Before joining Breskin Johnson & Townsend, she spent over three years prosecuting felony criminal cases for the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. As a deputy prosecutor in the Drug, Domestic Violence, and Violent Crime units, she conducted over twenty-five felony jury trials, and investigated and negotiated hundreds of felony criminal cases. She also handled a number of criminal appeals and argued cases at the Washington State Court of Appeals.
Before joining the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office in 2005, Annette served as an associate attorney at Buck & Gordon, LLP, where she counseled private clients on various land use and construction law issues. As an associate, she co-chaired Bauman v. Turpin, 139 Wn. App. 78 (2007), which was named one the cases of the year in Washington Law and Politics magazine.
